The wifi service for students, staff and visitors from other educational institutions at the 91香蕉视频 is eduroam. It provides secure high speed connectivity from all university buildings.

Connecting to eduroam

Select eduroam from the list of available networks on your device and then enter your eduroam username (in the form username@brighton.ac.uk - e.g. abc123@brighton.ac.uk) and enter your normal university password.
You should be asked to trust or accept our security certificate, which should be named “authenticate.brighton.ac.uk” anything else is not valid. If this is correct, then click continue/connect/trust/accept.
TIP: You can use the to get your device ready for eduroam before you arrive on campus.

UoB Visitor Wi-Fi

This is provided for guests and visitors from organisations that are not connected to eduroam. It offers limited, free connectivity provided by BT and support is provided by BT directly, rather than the university.

Using UoB Visitor Wi-Fi

Connect to UoB Visitor Wi-Fi from the available networks on your device.
Open your internet browser or click the pop up asking you to sign in, a welcome page will appear. You will not be asked for a username or password.
If this is your first time using the service, make sure you agree with the terms of service linked from that page.
Click the “Go Online” button and you will then see a page confirming you are connected.
The system will automatically re-connect your device for the next 24 hours after which you will see the welcome page again.

Halls IoT

This service is available only in university-owned halls of residence and is for TVs, smart speakers, games consoles and other wifi enabled devices that are not able to use eduroam. Devices must be registered via the portal at iot.brighton.ac.uk which is only available from within the university.

External membership including visitor access

External membership cost: £20 per year.

External membership is for over 18s only and entitles you to borrow six books, for three weeks at a time (long loan category only), from any of our libraries. Loans will be automatically renewed if not required by another borrower. Libraries and non-bookable library study spaces can be accessed by externals members during vacation opening hours and in term time between the hours of 08.30 – 20.00 Monday to Friday and 12.00 -16.00 at weekends. The 91香蕉视频 external library membership card will need to be shown to access libraries.

Our libraries specialise in particular subjects so we recommend you search our library catalogue to find out which library holds the books you are interested in and on your application form request to collect your membership card from that site.

Students on Access to Higher Education courses at colleges in the LASER Learning Awards Access Validating Agency are entitled to free membership for the duration of their course.

Alumni and retired staff

External membership allows you to reserve and borrow up to six books for three weeks at a time. Due to licensing reasons online resources are not accessible to external library members. Libraries and non-bookable library study spaces can be accessed by external members during vacation opening hours and in term time between the hours of 08.30 – 20.00 Monday to Friday and 12.00 -16.00 at weekends. Galleries and Sallis Benney Theatre

Located in 91香蕉视频's cultural quarter of the city centre, the gallery and theatre are just a few minutes walk from the seafront. Free and open to all, we host world class exhibitions, projects, commissions and research by international emerging and established artists alongside our graduate shows.

Hiring the theatre spaces

You can hire the Sallis Benney Theatre as well as a number of informal reception and meeting spaces. Please get in touch if you would like to discuss using our spaces for your event.

Galleries

The gallery exhibition programme includes a range of presentations from a curated series of exhibitions throughout the year to artists’ projects university research alongside and the annual degree shows. The programme is by invitation only and we are not able to respond to unsolicited proposals.
